A few in-progress snippets from a 3D poetry “game” in a near-future pandemic-afflicted society. The poetry combines ludicrous corporate jargon, hope for safety from illness, and phrases of resistance. The player/poet creates randomized poetic combinations by clicking on meetings to “join” them, only to be harangued by a cascade of corp-speak. Resistance poems occasionally pop up as well. The player scores points by successfully attending meetings, only to lose it all when they get infected. The colorful interaction of texts (what I call, “wordflakes”) provides a moment of artistic resistance and freedom from the onslaught of corporate messaging.

The soundscape, added in 2023, features noises from the corporate ruling class/management-drone, conference room life, co-workers, and illness, with a tinge of hope.
Created in Unity, VoiceMod, Premiere Pro, Audacity. Most ambient recordings, all poetry and vocal performances by me; corporate images under the free-use Pexels license; additional sournds: crowd @DickBlox and printer @ kyles @azumarill noises under freesound CC0 license.
